Board of Management Structure and Governance
The Board of Management of Maryfield College is established in accordance with the Articles of Management for Voluntary Secondary Schools, which set out the framework for its composition, role, and responsibilities. The school operates under the patronage of the Le Chéile Schools Trust.
The Board typically comprises eight members appointed by the Trustees, including four Trustee nominees, one of whom acts as Chairperson, two parent nominees, and two teacher nominees, ensuring a balanced and representative
The Board has responsibility for the overall governance and management of the school, including upholding the school’s ethos, overseeing policy development, and ensuring the effective operation of the school in line with the Education Act 1998 and Department of Education requirements.
The Principal acts as Secretary to the Board, supporting its work and implementing its decisions through the day-to-day management of the school.
The current Board of Management was established on 15 October 2025 and serves a three-year term.
