4L trip to the Savoy
As part of their Transition Year activities, 4L recently enjoyed a trip to the Savoy Cinema to view Hamnet. Upon arrival, the class was delighted to receive popcorn and drinks, kindly provided by the Savoy staff, which added to the enjoyment of the outing.
The trip provided the group with a valuable opportunity to engage with literature and drama in a fun and accessible way. Watching Hamnet on the big screen encouraged the class to explore themes such as family, loss, and creativity, while also deepening their appreciation of storytelling and Shakespeare’s history beyond the classroom.

Have your say – take part in Maryfield’s 80th Anniversary Celebration.
As part of Maryfield College’s 80th Anniversary celebrations, we are thrilled to announce a special celebratory concert taking place this spring. More details about this landmark event will be shared soon, but we have something truly unique to tell you now…For this once‑in‑a‑lifetime celebration, Maryfield has decided to commission an original choral work especially for our school choir. That means on the night of the concert, Maryfield will host the world premiere of a piece written exclusively for us! Even more exciting, we will be working with Irish composer Fiona Shields on this project. But we want your voice to be heardWe are inviting students from ALL year groups to submit a poem or short text that could be used as part of this brand‑new composition. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who enjoys writing, poetry, creativity, or storytelling.
- Any style of writing is welcome
- Themes could include Maryfield, community, friendship, growth, hope, memories, or the future
- If your text is selected, you will be credited in the composition itself
Poetry Competition now live on the link below. Deadline is 23rd January 2026 at 1pm

Nollaig 2025
Mhaisigh na scoláirí an doras ag seomra 4 don Nollaig. ‘Níl aon tinteán mar do thinteán féin’ an téama a bhí acu.

Ghlac a lán scoláirí páirt i mBiongó na Nollag sa leabharlann ar an 11 Nollaig.
Ghnóthaigh Coláiste Pháirc Mhuire Gaelbhratach don obair a rinne na scoláirí ar son na Gaeilge i rith na bliana. Bhí ceiliúradh iontach i halla na scoile chun an ócáid seo a aithint. Maith sibh a scoláirí!

An Ghaelbhratach á ardú taobh amuigh den scoil.
