This week the religion department held a retreat for the 1st years in the library over three different days. The theme of the retreat was “Self-esteem is loving yourself the way God loves you.” The students enjoyed learning about how to be kind and learning about different people who have shown kindness in their lives.
The retreat had games relating to the theme and a sacred space was made to provide the students with moments of reflection throughout the day. The three days were filled with positivity as we spoke about positive affirmations and the students enjoyed receiving and giving positive affirmations to each other. It was a wonderful experience for all involved.
