Have your say – take part in Maryfield’s 80th Anniversary Celebration.

As part of Maryfield College’s 80th Anniversary celebrations, we are thrilled to announce a special celebratory concert taking place this spring. More details about this landmark event will be shared soon, but we have something truly unique to tell you now…For this once‑in‑a‑lifetime celebration, Maryfield has decided to commission an original choral work especially for our school choir. That means on the night of the concert, Maryfield will host the world premiere of a piece written exclusively for us! Even more exciting, we will be working with Irish composer Fiona Shields on this project. But we want your voice to be heardWe are inviting students from ALL year groups to submit a poem or short text that could be used as part of this brand‑new composition. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who enjoys writing, poetry, creativity, or storytelling.

  • Any style of writing is welcome
  • Themes could include Maryfield, community, friendship, growth, hope, memories, or the future
  • If your text is selected, you will be credited in the composition itself
Deadline Friday 23rd of January at 1pm
