Christmas News From The Religion Department

As Christmas approaches, Transition Year students from 4K took part in a range of seasonal experiences with Mr. Scales. A visit to the Moving Crib offered a wonderful opportunity to learn about the Nativity, while classroom activities included making book angels, combining creativity with festive fun!

Nollaig 2025

Mhaisigh na scoláirí an doras ag seomra 4 don Nollaig. ‘Níl aon tinteán mar do thinteán féin’ an téama a bhí acu.

Ghlac a lán scoláirí páirt i mBiongó na Nollag sa leabharlann ar an 11 Nollaig.

Ghnóthaigh Coláiste Pháirc Mhuire Gaelbhratach don obair a rinne na scoláirí ar son na Gaeilge i rith na bliana. Bhí ceiliúradh iontach i halla na scoile chun an ócáid seo a aithint. Maith sibh a scoláirí!

An Ghaelbhratach á ardú taobh amuigh den scoil.

6th Year Religious Education Retreat

6th Year Religious Education Retreat

Sixth Year students recently enjoyed a meaningful Religion retreat organised by Mr. Scales and Ms. Butler. The retreat provided students with valuable time to reflect, engage, and step back from the busy pace of school life.

Musician Gerry Keegan visited the school and explored the theme of being unique through the powerful medium of song and storytelling. Through his music and personal reflections, Gerry encouraged students to recognise their own individuality and self-worth.
Gerry also shared his personal faith journey, offering students an honest and inspiring insight into how faith can develop and grow over time. The retreat was a positive and reflective experience that was greatly enjoyed by all involved.

Focus Ireland Shoebox Appeal

Focus Ireland Shoebox Appeal

We are proud to share that our school community raised an amazing 116 shoeboxes for Focus Ireland’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal. Each shoebox represents care, thought, and a willingness to make a positive difference in someone else’s life.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to all our students for their generosity and compassion, as well as parents and families for their continued support in helping to provide donations. Your important contributions played a vital role in the success of this appeal. A special thanks also goes to Mr. Scales and Ms. Butler’s Transition Year and 5th Year groups, who did a fantastic job wrapping and preparing the shoeboxes for delivery.

Well done to everyone involved for showing the true spirit of Christmas!
