Intercultural Day 2026

Maryfield College is excited to announce Intercultural Day 2026! This is a celebration of the many cultures in our school community and a chance for you to explore traditions from around the world.
Last year, over 170 students took part, representing 35 countries. You can take part by representing a country of your choice, share traditional food, play music, wear national dress, create displays, or organise fun cultural activities for others to enjoy.
If you would like to get involved, please complete the form in the link provided here

Irish Federation of University Women’s Public Speaking Competition

Huge congratulations to team Maryfield – Amritha Ramesh Nair, Bienna Elsa Chakkochan and Karen Gomes – who participated in the Irish Federation of University Women’s Public Speaking competition on Saturday 7 February at UCD.
The team (supported also by Zoe Burwell) represented our school brilliantly in the Leinster heat where Bianna won the ‘Best Speaker’ award. She will compete in the National Final on 15 March and hopefully bring the trophy back to Maryfield.

St. Brigid’s Day Activities + Poster Competition Winner

Last week, our students marked St Brigid’s Day with lots of creativity and fun, making their own St Brigid’s Crosses with Mr Scales. It was wonderful to see enthusiasm and care put into this special tradition.

We would also like to congratulate Sophia Wang, who was the winner of our Catholic Schools Week poster competition. Well done, Sophia!

Active School Flag Dance Classes

Our Active School Flag team, in association with Dublin County Council Sports Partnership, organised a dance teacher, Shauna, to come in and teach some of our classes for the next few weeks. A great time is being had by all.
