Students from 4L recently enjoyed a visit to the National Gallery of Ireland with Mr. Scales. The trip provided them with a chance to explore a wide range of artworks and learn more about the history and techniques behind some of Ireland’s most important collections.
A highlight of the visit was seeing The Taking of Christ by Caravaggio. Students were fascinated by the dramatic lighting and emotion in the painting, and they learned about how Caravaggio used light and shadow to create powerful scenes.
